Defined and Overstood Purpose

So, here's what I've come to learn over the years. When there is a defined purpose there is an overstanding that leads to direct action.
Let me tell you a story if you will.
And as a side note, if you follow me, you'll see I often use nature and everyday occurrences to confound the wise and to understand and make sense of this precious, blessed life that we live. I receive such profound knowledge and insight simply by way of just living; so organically. I LOVE IT!
Antyhoo, the story...
I'd been in this doggone house for months, working from home, as is the norm for much of the world these days, well at least the Americas, where I am from and currently reside. We'd been living in our home for some time when my mother advised she was coming to town to visit. Now, we have several extra bedrooms but, by design, none of them were committed to an actual bedroom or sleeping quarters. But obviously, if my mother were coming to town, we needed to make accommodations for her to have somewhere to sleep, as she was planning to be in town for a few weeks. As well as making accommodations for her, there were many boxes that had not been unpacked. I mean a lot! Shit was everywhere!
So we, my husband and I, knew we had a job to do. We put a plan in place and in a matter of a day or two, we made it happen. But something else happened too. I received a great revelation after that. I realized it wasn't until my mother was coming into town that I "found time" to get up and actually start unpacking; boxes that we'd been ignoring for months. We'd see them and walk right around them, or look right over them. Again, boxes that had been sitting around for months. It was so bad that so many of the things that we used regularly were still in the boxes, that we began to basically live out of the boxes. As we needed things, my husband would go find them, and ok, now we have 50 "leven" million open boxes around the house, mostly in the spare rooms and garage. Again, shit was evareewhere! It was an unorganized, organized mess.
I claimed that before my mother's announcement of her visit there was no time. And there wasn't. Because I hadn't designated any time. I made other things a priority. There was not a defined and overstood purpose that would lead to the direct action of unpacking and organizing. Again, we got comfortable.
But when my mother was due to arrive, the objective and purpose were clear...that we needed to get shit together before she arrived, and get it together fast. The action and the intention were set. There was no question about what had to be done or by when. We were connected to the purpose. It meant something to us. We defined our reason why.
From there, shit started moving and shifting. We created the time and put forth the effort and energy to get the job done. And the home came together. QUICKLY!
I realized we'd gotten so content with living with the bare minimum that we forgot how it felt to have things, amenities, and order. We began to rest in what we'd built as a comfort zone around a whole heap of mess. Nothing can flourish in a heap of mess.
Are you following me so far? Sometimes we can get stuck; comfortable.. We lose the drive and the motivation to forge ahead. We no longer see beyond where we are, beyond our current circumstances and status due to that comfort. Our vision can become clouded. We lose focus.
Many times we actually do see beyond the current state of affairs, but we lose hope and faith along the way. We've forgotten the purpose and reasons for wanting and needing to put forth effort and energy, sometimes even feeling as if we don't deserve a better situation. We ask questions like, "How can I ever achieve this? Why would this happen for me? Who am I to receive such a blessing?" We allow fear and doubt to take over. We question our own abilities to achieve and accomplish our goals; the ability and power to manifest our visions and dreams into a reality. And life remains stagnant. We become content.
If you are reading or hearing this message via audio, this may be the time to reevaluate your purpose and the reasons why you do things. Why are you at your current job? Why are you in your current home? What purpose do you serve in your relationships? Perhaps, this is a time to reflect on why you even exist. What is your purpose here in this realm? Are you fulfilling it? What does that even mean to you? Anything?
Well, I asked myself those same questions. From there I went on a soul-searching journey.
I discovered a lot. I'm still being revolutionized daily. In fact, this is the very reason I am before you today. I came to a place of overstanding my purpose. Because it is ever-evolving, I'll say one aspect of my purpose and reason for being is to offer a divine message of love and healing; one experienced through holistic and spiritual practices and insight. I am here to enlighten and enrich; to offer motivation and support, teach you, and guide you to self-love, self-healing, and self-actualization in the process. I would not be here today presenting to you my very first blog post if it were not for my realized, defined purpose. I am grateful.
That is also amazingly exciting to me as it's been a long time coming. I think the natural side of us all desire a sense of belonging and desire to have a place in this world, whatever that place may be. And awe man, when you discover and realize your place in this realm, OH WHAT A FEELING! You talk about a confidence booster! That it is!
But antyhoo, once I got a real grasp of my defined and overstood purpose, the task of building this brand became a priority and a down-right pleasure. I began to put forth direct action and manifest it into reality. The pieces of the puzzle began to come together. I could see the plan unfolding before my very eyes. The more effort I exerted, the more insight I received, insight to continue to move forward and bring it all together.
And here we are; me walking in my purpose. With that, I am committed to spreading a message of self-love and healing through holistic spiritual practice and insight. I am committed to continuing to allow myself to be open and vulnerable, that I may receive and share the journey with you, the full journey; that you too may evolve and elevate, and walk in divine love, healing, and understanding of your own truth, that you may achieve self-healing and self-actualization via holistic practices and insight as well. That is my commitment to you. I commit to being honest, fair, and true.
Today, I challenge you to seek to define your purpose, so that you may connect with it. Reevaluate your why in life, so that you may begin to walk in your truth; that you take action to manifest your dreams and desires.
Today is the day. What is your purpose? Define it for yourself. Overstand it. Walk in it. When there is a defined purpose there is overstanding that leads to direct action.
And by the way, we're still unpacking boxes! (insert gut-busting laugh at the adventures of life!)
Peace and blessings to all.
Ase and mote, it be.
